DISCOVER THE MARCONI...TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Marconi Automotive Museum is owned and operated by the Marconi Foundation for Kids, which is a non-profit, tax exempt charitable corporation under Internal Revenue code 501(C)(3), Federal Tax ID #33-0650060 and is listed as a California Corporation ID #1755649. The Museum has been made available to the public for the sole purpose of generating funds to support children’s charities.
AVAILABILITY
The Marconi Automotive Museum is available for rental to community organizations, businesses, and/or individuals. The Museum is available for use seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner events. All events are contingent on Museum’s own schedule of events and activities. All Events must stop at the agreed upon time. No exceptions will be made unless otherwise indicated in writing. The Museum reserves the right to decline the request to use the facility for any purposes that may conflict with the interests of the Museum.
RENTAL FEES AND OTHER OPTIONS
The site fee is based on the number of guests, event time frame and logistical needs for Event. The fee covers use of the Museum, Verandah, Race Shop and Parking Lot. An additional overtime rate will apply to any time exceeding contracted terms. Also included is the use of any of the following: Tables and chairs for up to 300 guests, 10’ x 12’ projection screen, podium, wireless microphone, DMX surround sound system, VHS/DVD system, Power Point capabilities, and the field kitchen tent. The Marconi reserves the right to stanchion and rope all of the vehicles if deemed necessary at an additional cost to the client. Museum Personnel will determine necessity of stanchion and rope, on a case by case basis.
Removal of Museum Cars
An additional car removal fee may be required pending event set up needs. Museum Personnel will determine applicable rates.
Slot Car Race Track
The 6-lane slot car race track is available for an additional fee. The rental includes up to 2 track attendants, for facilitation, set-up and breakdown of the track. See Event Agreement for rental fee.
Vendors
Any vendor not listed on Museum’s current “Preferred Vendor List” must be pre-approved by Museum personal, on an event-by-event basis and additional fees may apply.
FULL SERVICE CAPABILITIES
We will be more than happy to fulfill all of your event needs. Please consult with the museum staff for any entertainment, catering, décor, or beverage needs. All full service functions must be paid in full prior to event.
MUSEUM EQUIPMENT, DECOR, LIGHTING AND SPECIAL EFFECTS
All decorations must be flameproof and free standing and subject to approval by Museum Personnel. Lighted candles are permitted only when encased by glass and meet the City Fire Code specifications. Banners or signs may not be attached to the walls inside or outside of Museum. Special effects and any loose decorations such as but limited to fog machines, birdseed, rice, confetti, feathers and/or glitter may not be used in Museum or Museum parking lot. Museum Personnel must pre-approve all electrical equipment and extension cords to be used during Event. Lighting plans and props must be submitted in writing at least (21) twenty-one days prior to Event. Power Point presentations are possible and must be pre-arranged with Museum Personnel.
CATERING
A fee will be charged to the Client, if the contracted Caterer is not listed on the Museum’s “Preferred Caterer List”. It is mandatory that a professional Caterer be employed to handle food and beverage services. Museum Personnel must approve any Caterer or Vendor in advance. The Museum reserves the right to determine which areas may be used for food and beverage services. A 20’ x 40’ field kitchen tent is available for use by Caterer. After striking for Event, Caterer must dry mop the floors.
Alcoholic Beverages
Museum Personnel must coordinate all bar services, at an additional charge to the Client.
Food Prep Areas
All food prep areas must be kept clean and sanitary according to the Health Department Standards. All tables in the prep area are to be covered with a white plastic runner. Liquids may be disposed of on Museum property in designated areas only. Ice tubs must have clean plastic liners. Drinking water is available outside of the building. Cooking is not allowed inside the Museum, Verandah or the Race Shop.
PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY AND ENTERTAINMENT
Photos and/or videos are allowed in the Museum. No one is allowed to touch, open, or sit in the cars at any time. The Museum reserves the right to utilize all photos and/or video footage taken during Event for promotional use.
VALET REQUIREMENTS
Valet parking is mandatory for groups of more than (60) vehicles, and must be coordinated by Museum Personnel, at an additional charge to the Client. For groups less that (60) cars a parking attendant is required at an additional charge to the client. Cars must be placed in designated areas only.
INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
All Clients/Caterers/Vendors/Event Planners scheduled for Event date must submit a hard copy of Certificate of Insurance to Museum naming the Marconi Automotive Museum as “Certificate Holder” and “Additional Insured” and providing evidence of the following coverage:
Clients/Event Planners/Vendors:
„X General Liability Insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence.
„X Workers’ Compensation is required for all employees working the event. If volunteers are used, the policy should extend coverage of volunteers.
„X Automotive Liability with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence only if company vehicles will be on property delivering equipment or involved with event.
