Fight Night, our signature fundraiser, is now just six weeks away! During these next six weeks, we will be showcasing partners in Fight Night that make it such a “knockout” event!

Round 7: Dan Kelley, who has become a staunch annual supporter of The Marconi Museum and Fight, came to be a friend through the horse community that Priscilla Marconi is involved with. He hails from Massachusetts and we are always glad to welcome our Irish friend.

Dan Kelley is very happy to continue to support The Marconi Automotive Museum and Foundation for Kids, and we are very happy to have him for Fight Night 17 on March 13th.

For more information on Fight Night 17, and to purchase tickets, go to http://www.marconimuseum.org/foundation-events/fight-night/ and to learn more about The Jessie Rees Foundation, go to http://negu.org/

Stay tuned next week, as we continue our twelve rounds of Fight Night countdown.

Marconi Automotive Museum Joins Ferrari's 60th Anniversary Beverly Hills October 12th

What surely will be the best car show of 2014 is occurring this Sunday, October 12th. Ferrari is going big with their celebration of 60 years of being in the US.

Our founder, Dick Marconi, and his grandson, Vincent, will be driving the museum’s 1973 Ferrari Daytona through an arrival parade, led by Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo, with a total of 100 spectacular Ferraris.

On top of that, there will be a public display of 60 of the most storied and spectacular Ferraris ever assembled, plus the world premiere of a new Ferrari vehicle!

A little bit of “Hollywood” will be at the event as well with the Ferrari 308 GTS from Magnum P.I., the Testarossa from Miami Vice, and Steve McQueen’s 275 GTB/4, which was delivered to the actor on the set of the movie Bullitt.

Ferrari 60: Race Through The Decades, is this Sunday, October 12th, and takes place from 10 am to 5 pm on Rodeo between Wilshire and Santa Monica. Admission is free and we look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.

Follow us on Facebook, as we will have updates throughout the event.

Dick & Bo Briefing

Our 20th Anniversary Open House was more than we even hoped for. Thanks to all who joined us. It was a wonderful day of celebrating 20 years in business and wow, what a turn out of people and fabulous cars! Legendary car designer, Chip Foose came, as did the founder of Meguiars, Barry Meguiar, and of course our very own Dick Marconi, who managed to get around to greet you all, despite his recent knee replacement.

We all are truly thankful for all of your ongoing support. And for those of you who don’t know too much about what we do, our sole purpose, really, is to help raise money and awareness for the plight of homeless and at-risk kids in our community. Although Orange County is a well-heeled area, there are an alarming number of families who live below the poverty line.

So once again, “Thank You for Helping Us Help Kids!” Together, we are making a difference!

Greetings friends!

This Saturday is our 20th Open House. We are so very thankful for your generosity to the Marconi Foundation over the years and we hope that you will come by and visit with us from 10-2 on the 26th.

Dick is recovering from a total knee replacement so he may only be available for tours from 11-1. We will see how he feels. Also in attendance will be Barry Meguiar! We are thrilled and honored that he will be here with us. And word has it that Meguiar’s will have some product that we will give to some lucky people who come out for the Open House.

The staff of the Marconi Automotive Museum looks forward to welcoming you and celebrating 20 years in business!

And don’t miss our very miscellaneous “garage sale”. Lots of treasures, that we’ve been storing up, will be available for purchase.

See you Saturday.

And thanks for helping us help kids!

Celebrating 20 Years With An Open House In July!

Greetings Friends!

Many apologies from us to you regarding the lack of updates from the Marconi Automotive Museum. We had a few technical blog difficulties, but we are back up and running and excited about summer. Speaking of summer, we will be celebrating our 20th year of being a museum, and we are having an Open House on July 26th from 10:00 a 2:00. Please come join us.

Dick will be there to greet you. We are thrilled to say that he is on the mend from a very successful knee replacement surgery, so stop in and say hi to him.

Enjoy your summer, and know that you are always welcome at The Marconi Automotive Museum – Style and Class, with a Touch of Adrenaline.

All the best,
Bo Marconi
